Children in care and local authorities under the microscope!
Many of you will have read with concern that Derbyshire County Council is considering charging families for children in care. We await to hear more details on this but there has been oblique references in the media to the fact that this is a policy already pursued by some local authorities. On the face of it this could be troublesome for many families and counter productive in what it sets out to achieve. For families living on the margin this could be sufficient to sink them without trace.
